There are a lot of talented musicians out there, but with her exceptional talent, one artist stands out, doing her very own thing; playing tributes, singing covers, and even releasing originals. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Nouran AbuTaleb.
Nouran is one of the talented rising singers in the underground music scene in Egypt. She’s famous for her music project, Li Fairuz, a tribute project with which she revives the songs of the Lebanese legend, Fairuz, but in her own unique way. AbuTaleb frequently posts her songs, garnering thousands of views for her videos.
Besides singing, AbuTaleb, had her first acting experience in Ramadan 2019, as she joined the cast of the TV series, 3alamet Estefham, starring the superstar Mohamed Ragab. Not only that, but Nouran also sang the outro, Fawazeer, for the series.
The latest cover by the songstress was released two months ago. She sang Ya Ghaly, which was originally released by an early 2000s Kuwaiti band named Guitara. Surprisingly, the cover went viral, and the video gained almost 5 million views on AbuTaleb’s YouTube channel.
A week ago, Nouran dropped a song dedicated to this year’s edition of Cairo International Book Fair, named Dawen Ahlamak. This is her third song after Fawazeer and Ma Madda, which she released in 2017, the latter featuring Ashraf Majed.
