The millennial icon will be making a highly anticipated return to perform in Egypt this May. He is set to perform at the Rixos Radamis Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh on the 3rd of May, an exclusive event that is open only to guests of Rixos Radamis and Rixos Premium Seagate. That’s not the first time Enrique has been to Egypt. He has a long history of visiting and offering memorable concert performances, so let’s recap some of these incredible moments.

Enrique Iglesias: Egypt’s Favourite Latin Pop Star

As a Western artist, Enrique always stood out to Egyptian fans due to his Spanish roots, which are heavily reflected in his music, making his style more familiar to Egyptian ears than to mainstream American pop. His seamless blend of Spanish and English in lyrics and musical tone adds an Eastern touch to his songs, making them more relatable and easier to vibe with for Egyptian audiences.

From Childhood to Concert Stages: Enrique’s Egyptian Journey

Whether for occasional visits or concerts, Enrique is no tourist when it comes to Egypt. The star has been coming to Egypt since he was five years old, often accompanying his father, the legendary Julio Iglesias, on his visits and concerts. Even Julio Iglesias has performed in Egypt multiple times, with an exceptionally memorable concert at the Pyramids in the 1980s.

As for Enrique, he has had his fair share of performances here. In 2004, he performed a fantastic concert at the EMPC for an audience of around 25,000 people, and in 2014, which marked his last concert in Egypt, he performed in Porto Marina.

Surprise Guests or Collabs at the Rixos Radamis

While no surprise guests have yet been announced for May’s concert, history suggests otherwise. His 2014 concert included an exceptional performance by David Vendetta, while during his show in 2004, he was supposed to be joined by Nancy Ajram. For his concert at the Rixos, fans could be in for something special. Whether it’s an unexpected collaboration or an electrifying solo performance, Enrique’s return to Egypt is set to be a night to remember.
