Egypt’s beloved singer and Cairokee’s lead vocalist, Amir Eid, just teased his fans about his debut acting experience, and we’re super excited. The feature film, titled Lama Benetweled, is going to premiere at the 3rd edition of El Gouna Film Festival and will shortly be dropped at movie theatres.

The film follows the story of three characters who have to make tough, tricky choices in order to pursue their dreams. From a young man trying to pave his way as a professional singer against his father’s will to the forbidden love of a Christian woman and a Muslim man, and a newly wedded coach who has to compromise his values to get his own gym. So, what do you think they will do? Well, one thing we know for sure is that Amir will serenade us with his husky, soothing voice throughout the movie.
