Here’s something we’re definitely not tired of: the Egyptian rap scene being something akin to an active warzone! Although many people have been trying to figure out if some of the rap beefs going around are real or publicity stunts, the beefs just keep on coming, and we keep tuning in for more diss tracks and vague social media call-out posts.

Want to know what fights are currently going on in the scene? We’ll tell you all about them right here!

1-     Marwan Pablo VS Molotof

The duo that was rapper Marwan Pablo and producer Molotof had several hit tracks together before the former’s brief retirement in 2020 when things started getting really ugly. During Pablo’s retirement, Molotof released Denamet, a song that featured the rapper’s verses, forcing the rapper to go live on Instagram and tell his audience that he didn’t know that the track would be released. In fact, Pablo told his audiences that Denmaet’s release was nothing but a ‘fame-grab’ from Molotof, who knew that people would want new Pablo music.

Here’s where it gets interesting, though—post-Pablo comeback, the rapper avoided saying Molotof’s name, though he kept performing Denamet in concerts, despite not ‘agreeing’ to have it released. Following a recent Pablo concert, Molotof addressed the issue, saying that the rapper was very ‘inconsiderate’ in ignoring Molotof’s music production efforts when changing a Denamet verse to say ‘only Pablo is on the beat’.

After Marwan Pablo’s gig at Cairo Jazz 610, though, we’re not sure if this fight is still ongoing. During the gig, the rapper said that Molotof knows that he’s ‘just messing with him’. As of the time of writing this, though, Molotof has said nothing. So which side would you take here?

2-     Hady Moamer VS Molotof

Yes, this is a ‘beef’ between two music producers, though it feels a little one-sided. It all began when producer Hady Moamer (AKA Jean Bleau, known for working with international megastars like Drake and J. Cole) vaguely called out Molotof via IG Story.

Why? Well, Moamer took offence to Molotof producing remixes of Cardi B and Offset’s Clout, and apparently poked fun at his work. So, Moamer posted an Instagram Story saying that he only does ‘original cuts’ and ‘no remixes’, adding that ‘some people’ (AKA Molotof) wouldn’t even comprehend what his ‘real’ work is like. How brutal is that?

3-     Moscow VS Marwan Pablo

Yes, this is another Marwan Pablo almost-feud! What happened here is very simple. At Pablo’s Alexandria concert, the rapper made fun of another famous Egyptian rapper, Moscow, saying that after he sang about ‘trophies’, other people are now copying him.

With a swift reply, Moscow posted a video telling Pablo that he could sing whatever he wanted and that Pablo should mind his own business. Honestly, the man has a point!

4-     Marwan Pablo VS Marwan Moussa

Alright, we’ll admit it. This ‘feud’ isn’t an all-out war yet, and some people even suspect it of being a staged feud for publicity’s sake. Fans first took notice of this fight when Marwan Pablo mentioned that he ‘owned the German’, which everyone immediately took to be a dig at the half-German Marwan Moussa.

Naturally, Moussa didn’t stay quiet. In his last EP, Kaza Kairo, the rapper subtly called out Pablo, saying that ‘his enemy was hinting’ and that he would ‘retaliate’. Are the rappers ever going to address this directly? Who knows—but if they do, then more tracks for us!
