It’s Thanksgiving in the U.S. tomorrow and, as they do every year, Americans are going all-out to celebrate the holiday. We don’t have Thanksgiving in Egypt, however, we do have a lot to be thankful for! Here are a few of those things:
We got rid of our colonisers...
We have the mildest winters ever. It’s almost December and the temperature is still in the 20s.
The dollar nezel...
It only takes, like, an hour to get to work!
The supermarkets have sugar again!
Trump is not our president!
Black ‘Friday’ lasts a whole week here!
Public transport is dirt cheap (even after taxi metres went up to 4 LE)
The electricity only goes out for two hours at a time! Only two hours!
You can make money just by claiming parking spaces as your territory and charging people to park there.
Ramadan is like a 30-day Thanksgiving!
Egypt is ‘Om el Dunya’ after all. ‘Nuff said.
