As if regular users of 6th of October Bridge didn't have it bad enough, it has today been announced that the bridge will be partially closed for renovations- starting as soon as this Thursday.

There's good news, though; According to Youm7, it will only be closed between Thursdays and Sundays and the repairs, which will take place over 60 days, are relatively minor, focusing on the bridge's metal struts. 

Arab Contractors are the company that have been tasked with leading the work as part of  Helwa Ya Balady; an initiative undertaken by the Governate of Giza that is aiming to renovate many of the bridges in Cairo.
