Every so often, a new actress appears on screen and gradually earns viewers’ attention through consistency and natural presence. One of those names today is Janna AbdelMoneim, a 26-year-old actress who has been steadily building her place in Egyptian television with a growing range of roles.

Janna’s Early Beginnings

Janna first appeared on screen in 2011 through Coca-Cola’s Ramadan ad. During her high school years, she took part in several local and international beauty pageants, experiences that helped her gain confidence in front of the camera. Her first acting role came in 2018 with the Egyptian drama “Bent El Qabail”, marking her official entry into television. Most recently, she appears as Heidi in “Beit Baba”, currently airing on MBC Masr.

Where Reality Meets Character

According to Janna, she and Heidi differ in several ways. Heidi is younger and has lived abroad, something Janna hasn’t experienced yet. However, Janna notes that the sense of responsibility Heidi carries is one she personally relates to, creating a point of connection between the actress and the character.

A Commitment to Growth and Craft

Janna believes continuous learning is essential, especially in an industry as competitive as acting. She regularly attends acting and vocal workshops and considers auditions an important way to understand industry trends and refine her performance.

What’s Next for Janna AbdelMoneim

Janna revealed that Beit Baba season two is currently in production and is expected to air after Ramadan. In addition, she is working on a personal project that has yet to be announced, which she describes as particularly meaningful to her.

Janna’s Words to Aspiring Actors

Janna points out that while acting may appear glamorous from the outside, it requires hard work, long hours, and resilience in the face of rejection. Her advice is to keep developing your skills, stay true to yourself, and remember to appreciate the journey.
