Food lovers have a reason to get excited as Cairo Bites prepares to return for another edition. Bringing together restaurants, food brands, and culinary experiences, the festival has become a major event on Egypt’s food scene. Here is what you need to know about this year’s edition and what makes it worth checking out.
A Festival Dedicated to Food

Launched as Egypt’s first food festival, Cairo Bites brings together local, regional, and international food establishments under one roof. The event aims to showcase the diversity of Egypt’s food industry while giving visitors the opportunity to discover different restaurants and food-related businesses.
More Than 100 Food Establishments

According to the festival’s official website, previous editions have featured more than 100 participating eateries and welcomed over 10,000 visitors. Participating businesses span categories including restaurants, cafés, bakeries, patisseries, confectionery brands, and gourmet food businesses.
Beyond Just Eating

Cairo Bites offers more than an opportunity to sample different dishes. Its previous programmes have included live cooking demonstrations, celebrity chef appearances, cooking competitions, and musical performances. The 2023 edition, for example, featured chefs from CBC Sofra alongside performances by Mahmoud Esseily and Massar Egbari.
Supporting Egypt’s Food Industry

The festival also provides a platform for food businesses to introduce their products to wider audiences. By bringing together established restaurants, emerging brands, and food-related businesses, it creates opportunities for exposure and interaction with potential customers.
When and Where Is It Happening?
The upcoming Cairo Bites edition is scheduled for 12 December 2026 at the Grand Egyptian Museum. According to its official website, this year’s event will feature a carnival-themed atmosphere combining food, music, and entertainment. Ticket details are yet to be released.
Whether you enjoy discovering new restaurants, sampling different cuisines, or watching live cooking demonstrations, Cairo Bites offers an opportunity to explore Egypt’s diverse food scene in one place.
