This Eid, we will be treated to various Egyptian comedies, dramas, thrillers, and exciting international releases. So, check out all the information you need regarding these highly anticipated films!
1- Khamas Gawlat

The first Arabic and Egyptian MMA film will hit theatres during Eid Al-Fitr. Faris, a young Egyptian mixed-martial-arts fighter from a small town, has just one opportunity to beat the ruthless champion, Edgar. He badly wants to win, but the route is paved with disappointment and betrayal from those closest to him.
The rap battle culture and challenges budding rappers face are also discussed in Khamas Gawlat. Cast members include Adam El Sharkawy, Nour El Nabawy, Maged El Masry, Ayda El Ayoubi, Dalia Shawky, Mostafa Darwish, rapper Arsenic, Latifa Fahmi, and Sally Rashad.
2- Ibn El Hajj Ahmed

This film is Chico’s first solo leading role without Hesham Maged by his side, and marks his return to the cinema after a hiatus since his latest movie, “Alb Omo”, in 2018. The film was written by the veteran Amr Salama and features Chico, Sayed Ragab, Rahma Ahmed, Mostafa Gharib, Aida Riyad, the child actor Montaser Mahran, and others in its cast.
The anticipated Eid film is a social comedy where Chico plays a grocer who works with his father (Sayed Ragab), bringing them together in numerous comedic situations.
3- Baed El Shar

It is a tradition that every Eid Al-Fitr includes a goofy Egyptian comedy piece, and this year, we are betting that “Baed El Shar” will fill this gap. The movie is set in a comedic atmosphere where Masrah Masr alum Ali Rabie plays the role of a pilot who finds himself in several humorous situations. Mirna Nour El-Din, Rana Raees, Aws Aws, Amr Abdel-Galil, and Bayoumi Fouad will star alongside Ali in this film.
4- John Wick: Chapter 4

The unstoppable John Wick is back with a fourth movie! It will start screening on the 20th of April, starring Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Alexander Skarsgård, and many others from the blockbuster franchise.
Chapter 4 will depict John Wick finding a strategy to take down The High Table. Wick must fight a new foe with global ties and forces, transforming former allies into enemies before he can earn his freedom.
5- Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

The iconic roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons has been adapted into a funny, action-packed film. The film revolves around a charismatic thief and an odd group of adventurers who plan an epic heist to recover a priceless artefact. However, their plans quickly go astray when they cross the wrong people.
To be released in Egyptian cinemas on April 20th, the movie stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Regé Jean Page.
