On Tuesday, Liverpool’s Egyptian forward Mo Salah received the Confederation of African Football Player of the Year award for the second consecutive year. Of course, us Egyptians couldn’t possibly let this go without creating a joke or two.

Mo’s been a very busy lad, with setting last season’s record for the most goals in a 38-game Premier League season, ranking sixth among the nominees for the Ballon d’Or 2018, in addition to him being named the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2018.

At only 26, Salah won the Premier League Golden Boot in May with 32 goals and has been continuously making us proud with many awards such as the PFA award, the FWA award, the Confederation of African Football’s African Player of the Year Award, and many more. Shall we go on?

Well, congratulations Mo! Here’s to many more celebrations in your honour!
