Asghal Sha2a

The first show to hit the airwaves was Asghal Sha2a, a comedy centred around the trials and tribulations of a newlywed couple navigating the chaotic world of parenthood after the arrival of twins. Starring Hesham Maged as a forensic doctor and Mostafa Ghareeb as his clumsy cousin, the series starts with a hilarious mishap at a crime scene, courtesy of Ghareeb's character.

However, Intisar stole the show as the iconic nanny, whose preoccupation with her daughter's marital drama leaves her neglecting her duties. Asmaa Galal's character, raised by nannies herself, struggles to cope with the incompetence of her mother, leading to uproarious moments and naming mishaps for the twins.

El Maddah Season 4

Next, viewers were treated to the return of El Maddah in its fourth season, promising more unexpected twists. Led by Hamada Hilal as Sheikh Saber El-Maddah and Sahar El Sayegh's spooky Malika, the show wastes no time in terrifying viewers.

In a courtroom scene, a shocking explosion rocks the world of El Maddah and its characters. Notably, the new faces, especially Mai Selim, Diab, and Fathy Abdel-Wehab, added a layer of intrigue to the show.

Selat Rahem

Eyad Nassar is back with Selat Rahem, a heart-pounding thriller that kept viewers on the edge of their seats. Nassar portrays Hossam, a doctor grappling with personal demons following the loss of his son and the betrayal of his foreign wife. And currently married to Yousra El Lozy's Laila, who's pregnant.

As the series unfolds, secrets unravel, and tensions reach a boiling point, up to the point of a dramatic car accident that leads to the loss of the unborn child and the uterus it was growing in. These shocking revelations led Hossam to take the farthest measures and consider surrogacy, which is both illegal and frowned upon in our society.

Lahzet Ghadab

Lahzet Ghadab dives into the dark depths of revenge as Saba Mubarak's Yomna reaches her breaking point in a toxic marriage. Mohamed Farrag's portrayal of her abusive husband, Sherif, is constantly degrading and bringing her down.

The tension mounts as Yomna's rage erupts in a shocking act of violence, leaving audiences wondering what consequences await her in the aftermath of her actions. Especially since he was on the ground with blood oozing from his beaten head while their guests were at their door ringing the bell.

Lunch Box

Up next is Lunch Box, which served a comedic dose of three women embarking on a daring robbery to secure their financial futures. Ghada Adel, Jamila Awad, and Fadwa Abed shine as a trio of desperate friends driven to desperate measures by personal crises.

Ghada's character finds out that her husband is having an affair and is about to lose their house because he has not been paying the instalments. Her sister, who's a single mother, and her ex-husband plan to sue for custody of their child, which she can't afford. And their friend is a mother of a child who is ill and needs expensive medication.

A3la Nesbet Moshahda

Rounding out the lineup, A3la Nesbet Moshahda offers a fresh take on family dynamics and social media fame. Salma Abu Deif leads the cast as Shaima, a young woman navigating the complexities of life in a working-class neighbourhood, from her mother, who is struggling with multiple jobs to be able to provide for the family, to her uncle, who stole from the income being made, to her father's failed attempts to sell his hand-painted art in galleries. However, alongside her sisters, they find unexpected fame on TikTok overnight.
