In the past few years, we have seen many impressive new faces in Egyptian entertainment, mainly kids in their first TV roles. The talent within those children was so potent that they blended into characters seamlessly and realistically, all while showing a range of emotions on cue! With this much new talent on the horizon, we thought it would only be fitting to talk about Egypt’s most prominent child actors!
1- Yasmina El-Abd (Finding Ola)
In case you haven’t seen her on your screens lately, Yasmina El-Abd is a multitalented entertainer who sings and dances in addition to acting! Her most significant (and recent) performance was in Netflix’s Finding Ola, with her playing a laidback character who turns out to be carrying loads of heavy traumas and problems. Her talent and charisma have made it to HBO’s Theodosia, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

2- Moataz Hesham (Mamalek El-Nar)
After gripping audiences with roles in Abo Omar El-Masry and Mamalek El-Nar, Moataz Hesham kept himself booked and busy by participating in many works. Yet, it’s still his role as the young Sultan Saleem in Mamalek El-Nar that no one can forget—it was that iconic! Not only did he keep us on the edge of our seats because of how villainous he was, but he also had us enjoying every second of his performance.

3- Reem Abd El-Kader (Khaly Balak Men Zizi)
This nine-year-old sweetheart managed to terrify us with her role as Sheraaz in Paranormal 2020! We all had scary dreams because of Sheeraz, right? Then in Ramadan 2021’s Khaly Balk Men Zizi, she left us feeling all kinds of emotions for Tito, a kid with ADHD who is suffering and getting bullied. Reem has other memorable roles that are just as astonishing.

4- Mona Ahmed Zaher (Leih La’?)
Mona comes from a family of talented actors as she is the daughter of actor Ahmed Zaher and sister of acting duo Malak and Laila Zaher. With her poignant portrayal of emotions and reactions, this adorable young girl has blown our minds in the second season of the popular Shahid series ‘Leih La’’! We definitely hope to see more of her.

5 - Selim Mostafa (Leih La’?)
Of course, we can’t mention the second season of Leih La’ without mentioning one of its best actors—Selim Mostafa, as the main character Younis! Sure, he made us cry more than once, but that didn’t stop our hearts from soaring with pride every time we saw him on our screens.
