We haven’t been both amused and horrified by a series in a while. But after a long hiatus, the mega mind behind every spooky and heebie-jeebie-filled production is back with a comedy horror spin-off of the classic renowned “Addams Family” movie.
Tim Burton’s new Netflix series, “Wednesday”, follows the youngest daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams. If you’re unfamiliar with the rest of the Addams Family, we recommend checking out their classic fright film series! But until then, here’s everything you need to know about “Wednesday”.

Who’s Wednesday Addams?
Coming from one of the weirdest and most sinister families, Wednesday is the youngest daughter of the Addams. After continuously being forced to change schools due to her alarmingly disturbing behaviour, she ends up at Nevermore, an academic institution for outcasts that, unsurprisingly, her parents also attended.
As she was obligated to go, Wednesday doesn’t adapt very well to the school until murder catches her interest. The young, eerie girl embarks on a mission to investigate many murder cases in the small town of Jericho, including a very peculiar one later in the show.

Is “Wednesday” Worth a Watch?
If you have memories of watching the Addams Family movies, you can expect similar chills and nostalgia when binging this spin-off show. But if you aren’t familiar with the movie series, do not worry; you’ll still be able to understand and follow its every creepy ark.
That said, we loved how menacing this series was. Tim Burton did not hold back in delivering every nightmarish plot he could foster for Wednesday’s storyline following his production break. If you’re not a fan of gore and incredible uneasiness, maybe shy away from this Netflix watch.
The hair-raising and eerie music, cinematography, and CGI is bewitching and replicates that of Tim Burton’s treasured and unsettling 2000s atmosphere. While you may find yourself growing tiresome from the beginning of the series’ relatively slow pace, we promise it picks up in no time, and you’re guaranteed jump scares and laughter!
