Are you streaming some light series this Ramadan amidst all the drama and action in other shows? Baba Geh might’ve not had a very good start, but it’s slowly getting recognised for being hilarious and having a brand-new concept.
The Story of Baba Geh
Baba Geh revolves around Hesham, a man in his forties who used to work as a hotel manager in an international hotel when his life turned upside down after he was laid off due to Covid. Because of this, he becomes a stay-at-home husband. However, after his little girl, Joudy, tells everyone at her school charity event that he’s useless, he becomes too self-aware and tries to find a job.
Hesham and his cousin Yasser start a new service called Baba Geh after one of Joudy’s friends takes Hesham with him to his house to play his father as he doesn’t have one. They started this service for people who need a father to help them in certain situations without telling their actual parents about it, like school parent notices and problematic situations.
What We Think
We think this show deserves a second chance beyond the first two episodes. It’s fun and quirky, and the new concept of renting a dad is funny to watch. That’s why we’re suggesting you watch this show without thinking twice if you want some light comedy in your day.
