Some psychopathic characters on TV have this unique vibe that we just love to watch. Their personalities are also extremely complex, with background stories that include several psychological issues and a few traumas. These issues soften our hearts for them, even though we know that they are terrible people! Here’s a list ranking the fictional serial killers that we (and the rest of Egypt) just can’t get enough of.
5- Paul Spector (The Fall)
Paul Spector is the villainous main character from the psychological thriller series “The Fall”. Paul leads a double life as a family man and a serial killer who hunts down women, with a focus on pretty young ladies. The character was played by Irish star Jamie Dornan, and he was just incredible. You can see the darkness in Paul’s glaring eyes in every scene, but the love he had for his family was undeniably noticeable as well.

4- Love Quinn (You)
This character has kept us on our toes in the latter half of the second and the third season of the Netflix series “You”. Love has gone through many difficult situations in her life, making her character development surprisingly perfect! Actress Victoria Pedretti exquisitely portrayed the role of the overly protective wife who would absolutely kill for her family.
3- Hannibal Lecter (Hannibal)
The psychological horror and thriller series Hannibal is about a forensic psychiatrist who happens to be a cannibalistic serial killer. Mads Mikkelsen has terrified yet amused us for three seasons with his well-performed depiction of a ruthless serial killer who suffers from PTSD (most serial killers are diagnosed with PTSD, among other mental illnesses). We can’t deny that we felt all kinds of emotions watching Hannibal, but we were mainly frightened!

2- Joe Goldberg (You)
Joe is, on one hand, one of the sweetest hopeless romantic guys ever. But, on the other, the word ‘obsessive’ wouldn’t even begin to describe him. Penn Badgley gained a lot of notoriety from this role, and we can’t deny that his voice, as he narrated the character’s thoughts, has become our guilty pleasure. Joe Goldberg is an intense stalker, with the women he falls for being his main victims, who he usually kills out of love! Scary yet romantic, isn’t it?
1- Dexter Morgan (Dexter)
Our ultimate favourite serial killer is a bit of a hero as he only murders killers who got away from the police. Doesn’t he sound like a serial killer Robin Hood? Even though we are lowkey aware that saving the innocent was never really his main target and he only does it to satisfy his urge to kill or, as he called it, “the dark passenger”. Frankly, Michael C. Hall gave us a masterclass in acting when it came to portraying the character of Dexter. Who would have thought that we could relate to a serial killer?
