He is the cunning God of Mischief and Thor’s outcast brother. Loki wreaks alien havoc on our original Marvel heroes in Avengers. Defeated but never down, Loki continued to make trouble in the MCU till his fateful death in Avengers: Endgame at the hands of the mad Titan: Thanos, which had the fans in agony!
However, Loki is never really dead for those who know him well. After Thanos’ snap that wiped half the universe off existence, the Avengers travelled back in time to collect the stones that would undo this horrific deed. Some of them went back to New York when the first Avengers film events were happening. Oops, the Avengers made a much-welcome mistake, and Loki escaped custody instead of resuming his destiny to ultimately die seven years later.

Long story short, Loki escaping his awful fate of dying triggered his arrest by the Time Variance Authority, AKA the TVA. A strange organization no one knew existed captures Loki, where he is in for an unbelievable ride of self-discovery and all sorts of problems, unlocking secrets of the multiverse while at it!
By the end, Loki and a female version of himself, Sylvie, manage to get to the man behind the TVA. They meet Kang the Conqueror, or He Who Remains, and have an extremely intriguing chat about what it was all for.
via Insider
He Who Remains has, for a very long time, managed to allow only one timeline to exist, AKA one universe, in an attempt to stop the start of the multiverse where countless evil versions of himself (his variants) would start a multi-versal war to dominate and rule every universe. Loki believes this crazy story, but Sylvie doesn’t.
The season ends with an insane cliffhanger where Sylvie kills a Kang variant to free the timeline, and now the fate of the soon-to-be-multiverse awaits! What will happen to the TVA? What does the multiverse look like? When are the evil variants of Kang coming to destroy entire worlds?

The first episode aired on October 5th. With four episodes out now, season two takes a step back from focusing on Loki and offers one plot twist after the other (especially episode four)! It brilliantly answers some of our burning questions while maintaining the same quips and well-rounded character arcs.

It introduces us to the TVA’s engineering genius OB (played terrifically by Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan). As well as another exciting variant of He Who Remains, where connections to current and upcoming Marvel projects are awesomely made. Last but not least, Loki S02 proposed a profound moral dilemma: Do people with free will need monitoring? Well, watch this season to determine what the MCU has to say on that matter!
