As Ramadan is ending and Eid El-Fitr is just around the corner, cinephiles are eagerly awaiting the movies set to grace our screens. This festive holiday promises a cinematic feast, blending action, comedy, and social commentary with a handful of new releases.

So, grab your popcorn, settle into your seats, and may these movies bring you joy and entertainment:

She2o

The film is an adaptation of the novel Prince of Thieves by Chuck Hogan, and its events revolve around a group of outlaw friends who engage in criminal and suspicious acts. When suddenly, their illegal actions lead them to major crises with severe consequences.

Starring the dynamic quartet Amr Youssef, Mohamed Mamdouh, Amina Khalil, and Dina El-Sherbiny, it’s their first reunion since Grand Hotel. Alongside them are household names making cameos, most noticeably Ahmed Fahmy and the iconic Youssra in an adrenaline-fueled extravaganza that is not devoid of romance and comedy.

Fasel Men El Lahazat El Laziza

The second movie of the season, Fasel Men El Lahazat El Laziza, steps onto the scene armed with the comedic charm that’s always a hit during the holiday season. Its leading man, Hisham Maged, fresh off the success of Asghal Sha2a, joins a stellar cast that includes Hana El Zahed, Mohamed Tharwat, Bayoumi Fouad, and the young talent, Jan Ramez.

It revolves around Hisham’s character, an architect married to Hana’s character, with whom he shares a son and an unhappy life. However, their world is turned upside down when an inventor reveals the existence of alternate versions of themselves in other universes, prompting them to reconsider their relationship and find newfound happiness. So it’s basically if Ashghal Sha2a had a child with Khaled Nour w Walado Nour Khaled.

3al Mashy

Ali Rabie is back to the genre he is well-known for with 3al Mashy, which marks his second consecutive appearance in the holiday season, following last year’s Ba3d El Shar. Alongside Rabie are Karim Afifi, Aya Samaha, Salah Abdullah, and Intisar.

The storyline centres around Hadi, played by Rabie, a lazy thirty-year-old residing with his father. His life takes an unexpected turn when he receives a diagnosis of a rare condition that compels him to constantly be on the move to prevent fatal blood clots. Embarking on a comedic journey of nonstop walking, Hadi encounters Aya Samaha, who becomes his companion and sparks a love story filled with humorous twists and turns.

Eswed Melawen

Eswed Melawen has recently been added to the lineup of films competing in the festive season. Its release was announced just a few days ago following several postponements, despite filming being completed over a year ago. The film features an ensemble cast including Bayoumi Fouad, Rana Rais, Mohamed Kelany, Ahmed Fathy, Mays Hamdan, and Essam Sasa’s acting debut.

It is a whimsical romantic comedy with a twist of fantasy. The movie explores the complexities of romantic relationships and each individual’s emotional baggage, symbolised by a figurative clump in the brain that must be shed to fully experience love. Rana’s character seeks guidance from a wedding planner who refers her to a psychiatrist specialising in emotional relationships, played by Bayoumy Fouad.
