1- Ayam El-Sadat

Aside from how greatly Ahmed Zaki portrayed one of Egypt's former presidents in this movie, his co-star Mona Zaki mentioned how invested he’d been in the role and how he used to talk to her all the time as if she actually was Jehan El-Sadat, El-Sadat’s Wife.

In his role in this specific movie, Zaki adopted EL-Sadat’s charisma and manner of talking as well as how he dressed, covering it all for the sake of never breaking his character.

2- Zawgat Ragol Mohem

A role in which not only did Ahmed Zaki embody the corruptness of the strict police officer and his state of mind when he lost his position as well as the struggles he faced after his dismissal, but he also felt that shift in his personality, which changed his everyday routine. In fact, he studied the character so well that people actually thought he was a corrupt officer.

3- Shafika w Metwali

This was the one movie that made Egyptian audiences everywhere truly discover the extent of Ahmed Zaki’s phenomenal acting skills. Taking on the patriarchal role of a man who eventually kills his sister after a lifetime of dealing with the problems he thinks are caused by her beauty.

In the end, the man walks free of charges as the judge stands by his side, telling him he did the right thing. And, Zaki portrays this character beautifully, of course.

4- Ma’ali Al-Wazir

Someone becoming a minister by mistake is not something we see every day, so getting a movie about that sets a high bar. Ma’ali Al-Wazir is all about the drama that Ahmed Zaki’s character faces as he tightens as his grasp on the “ministry throne”, getting more and more powerful. As a result of taking on this role, Zaki started getting nightmares due to the character’s corruptness.
