Do you ever watch a TV show or a movie and find yourself rooting for the villain just because the actor playing them is terrifically good? If so, then join the club! We’ve all been there, and so we had this brilliant idea:
How about we list the six best Egyptian and Arab actors who ‘slayed’ the villain role?
-
Khaled El Sawy - El Feel El Azraq
Even if we said that we weren't absolutely terrified by this one, we’d be lying. Khaled El Sawy never fails to impress us with his performances, and he certainly did while portraying a devil and the man he possessed, making both terrifying.

-
Sayed Ragab - Welad Rizk
Ever thought you’d ever fall in love with a psychotic drug lord? Well, we sure did when Sayed Ragab played him in Welad Rizk! The actor soared with this role, making us fear him, laugh with him, and love him all at once.

- Khaled Saleh - El Rayes Omar Harb
Playing the devil in disguise, late legend Khaled Saleh shocked and horrified us with this role. Not only did he give us one of Egypt’s greatest villains ever, but he also mesmerised us by how effortlessly he displayed his sinister side.

- Yehia El Fakharany - Wanoos
We’re not exaggerating when we say this is one of Yehia El Fakharany’s best roles. With his grandfatherly looks, the actor sucker-punched us with a wonderful, dark portrayal of Satan himself!

- Yousra - Fo' Mostawa El Shobohat
Although there’s no shortage of female murderers in Egyptian TV, Yousra played a murderer so ruthless on Fo’ Mostawa El Shobohat that we never knew what to expect.
Yousra’s murderous character was incredible in every possible way, making us love her even more than we already did!

- Bassel Khayat - 30 Youm
Bassel Khayat may not be Egyptian, but we’re definitely counting him among our favourite Arab villains for his portrayal of a total psychopathic murderer in the hit series 30 Youm!
The man played a character so unhinged and entertaining to watch, and, in our opinion, he’s never had enough screen time. Khayat gave us chills and some pretty twisted nightmares as well!
