October is here, so obviously it is officially Spooky Season! Because of that, there are a couple of notable horror films to look out for this month. However, there are other iconic non-horror movies that made it to our list as well! Whether you are into comedy, drama or superhero movies, you will find what you are looking for in the theatres soon. Enough teasing—let’s tell you all about the most anticipated movies of October 2022!

1-     Fadl Wa Ni’ma

In a comedic framework, the movie’s events revolve around the owner of a restaurant, called “Fadl Wa Ni’ma”, who goes through many comic and paradoxical situations during his management of this restaurant!

The movie is directed by the one-and-only Ramy Imam and it stars the iconic Maged El-Kedwany, Hend Sabry and Yasmina El-Abd. As of October 5th, the movie is in cinemas, so go ahead and book your tickets right now!

2-     Black Adam

If you have been to the theatres in the past couple of months, you have definitely watched the trailer of Black Adam before your movie starts! Warner Bros’ DC superhero movie Black Adam is starring Dwayne Johnson and is to be released on the 19th of October.

The character was originally slated to appear as just a villain to Shazam but Black Adam was ultimately given his own film partly thanks to a bit of persuasion from Johnson’s side. He had been attached to the project since as early as 2006 and now, we do not only get a movie of Black Adam but also the introduction of the Justice Society of America. Hooray for you, DC fans!

3-     Halloween Ends

Halloween Ends is the final chapter in David Gordon Green’s Halloween sequel trilogy, as Laurie Strode faces off against masked killer Michael Myers for one last time… presumably! It’s not so hard to imagine that Universal Studios will try to revive the franchise again in some form or another down the line.

However, for now, it’s been fun to follow along with this more serialised story and finally get some closure to it. And as Tommy said to Laurie in Halloween 1978 “You can’t kill the boogeyman”, let’s watch her prove him wrong on the 14th of October in the cinema!

4-     Don’t Worry Darling

This movie was released on the 23rd of September in the United States and other countries but it will make it to Egyptian theatres on the 26th of October. The events occur in the 1950s in an experimental utopian-like community where a housewife and her husband live peacefully until things change and she starts to worry. Directed by Olivia Wilde, the movie stars veteran actress Florence Pugh, former One Direction sensation Harry Styles, Wilde herself, and Chris Pine.

The film has been immensely hyped on social media because of all the problems that happened while shooting it and even in its premiere. This left us wondering why would Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine in the movie premiere, among other things. We are dying to watch the movie and, more importantly, its behind-the-scenes clips!

5-     Amsterdam

Even if we don’t know anything about the film’s story, Amsterdam probably would have made it to this list by virtue of its cast and director alone! The movie is directed by David O. Russell who blessed us with Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. It also boasts an expansive cast of A-lister superstars that includes Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Rock, Michael Shannon and Robert De Niro

The movie is set in the '30s and follows three friends who witness a murder and they become suspects themselves. Supposedly, the story uncovers one of the most outrageous plots in American history. Internationally, it will be released on the 7th of October but it will make it to Egypt on the 2nd of November. So, try to avoid spoilers till we get to watch this masterpiece on the silver screen!
