Since Ramadan’s TV marathon, we’ve had many new, successful shows, from El Le3ba’s fourth season to Leih La2’s third storyline and Rivo’s second sequel. Most recently, and currently being screened, is Hannah Zahed and Ahmed El Sa3dany’s Seeb Wana Aseeb.

With that said, there are upcoming shows that we are still eagerly awaiting. Even though most of these shows have not been given a release date yet, we are watching for any updates!

Safah El Giza

The Egyptian version of Dahmer will be released on the 25th of August. The show is based on actual events revolving around several mysterious crimes by a serial killer that caused panic around the residence of Giza.

Starring Ahmed Fahmy as the serial killer, the show additionally features actors Rakeen Saad, Bassem Samra, Salah Abdallah, Dalia Shawky, and Gihan Shamashergy.

Madraset El Rawaby Lel Banat: Season 2

Around two years ago, Netflix released its hit Arabic show which gathered predominantly positive reviews. As of May 2022, the series was renewed for a second season, and a year later, they announced that they wrapped up shooting. So, we expect this popular show to be dropping soon!

Batn El Hoot

After being postponed because production didn’t finish on time for Ramadan, it was announced that the show’s stars were back shooting their scenes. While there’s no definite release date, the rumour is that we will see this series later this month.

The show tells the story of a man forced into joining a terrorist group where conflicts arise, murders are committed, some are thrown behind bars, and narcotics are illegally smuggled. It stars Mohamed Farag, Asmaa Abu El Yazid, and Bassem Samra.

Rose and Layla

One of the most exciting upcoming shows must be this whodunnit comedy. For starters, it is marked as the first Arabic project directed by British film director Adrian Shergold and written by British writer Crispin “Cris” Cole. It also co-stars Youssra and Nelly Karim, with Arefa Abdel-Rasoul, Hisham Ashour, Razan Maghribi, Ahmed Wafik and Marwan Younes also on the cast list.

According to the released teaser, our heroines are private investigators who join forces for a new mission. As events escalate, they will go through various mishaps to solve the mysteries.

El Beit Beity: Season 2

While the second season’s plot is still under wraps, it has been announced that the dynamic duo Karim Mahmoud Abdelaziz and Mostafa Khater have already started shooting. It’d be wise to have part two of this series released around Halloween, given that it’s a horror-comedy show.
