1- Fayoum
Forget about the usual Gouna destinations and head to the best serenity hub in the country! Despite being one of Egypt’s oldest cities, Fayoum has withstood the test of time due to its marginal location and fantastic weather, making it a popular winter resort. It is famous for its stunning and attractive natural beauties, including the Valley of the Whales, Petrified Forest, and distinctive Tunis Village.

2- Siwa
Siwa, closer to Libya than the Capital, is Egypt’s hidden winter wonderland and an oasis paradise in the eyes of its visitors. Despite its distance from Egypt’s Nile-based cities, Siwa’s Temple of Amun and the Shali fortification of its Berber tribes remain a significant part of Egyptian history. And the best time to visit the city is now to avoid the desert’s scorching heat of the summer. So, head to the desert paradise to experience safaris, a refreshing swim in salt lakes, gastronomic tours of local food spots, and a calming soak in one of the city’s many natural hot springs!

3- Marsa Allam and Marsa Nayzak
Marsa Allam has the best of Sharm and Hurghada as it’s located south of the latter. Its weather is hotter than usual, and it contains some of the most beautiful diving spots full of blue lagoons. So it’s no surprise why visitors make it their first choice year after year!
Marsa Nayzak, just 14 kilometres north of Marsa Allam, contains a natural water pool formed by a falling comet. The water is clear and blue, making it a majestic hidden gem. How many people do you know who have swum in a comet-created water pool? We think that’s rare!

4- Luxor and Aswan
These two southern locations are no-brainers for vacations. They are two of the hottest and driest areas in Egypt, offering winter warmth and an escape from Cairo’s cold weather. Luxor and Aswan are full of culture, beauty, and dozens of things to do, such as drinking tea on the Nile while watching the sun rise or set, or visiting one of the many temples for a more historic vacation!
