As an Egyptian society, it kind of feels like criticism is in our blood, right? People on the streets just speak fluent criticism, whether they are asked for their opinions or not! However, a critique can be a powerful tool to help someone become better, and this is what is called constructive criticism, unlike the destructive sort that brings nothing but self-loathing. On the other hand, we’ve noticed that a few celebrities don’t take any criticism well, and we just can’t understand why! So, how about we elaborate more on the matter?
Can criticism actually help people?
Well, the answer is yes! As we mentioned earlier, constructive criticism is more than just harsh comments; it is all about providing actionable suggestions for the person to make positive improvements. Some fans give constructive feedback to celebrities, but some celebs still don’t take it very well.
Since it’s Ramadan and the TV is filled with various series, we see all types of criticism about the actors, their performances, and even their looks! We get that most humans don’t like to be judged, yet isn’t it a part of the job description of any celebrity? Celebrities should at least appreciate the praise and the useful comments that are meant to help them improve, but we only see the lawsuits and the firing back at the comments. How narrow-minded is that?
