Being an adult has its perks, such as being able to buy whatever sweets you want and taking extended vacations from work. Although the long break from work that Eid Al-Adha provided was much needed, the fact that we are now back to our regular schedules and responsibilities is a gloomy thought. And after a long time away from the office, we don’t always come back with the same enthusiasm. With that said, here are some common types of co-workers you will undoubtedly encounter upon your return to the office!
1- The Bragger
via Geek Binge
Yes, we know you had a magical time in Sinai or the trip of a lifetime in Bali. Unfortunately, this one cannot stop talking to their co-workers about the fabulous vacation they had, making it hard to get any work done! We must admit that this type of bragging can either be very unpleasant or entertaining.
1- The Still-On-Vacation
via Looper
Don’t count on this one for urgent work tasks because they are still on vacation — in their head! They are slow, laid-back, and unwilling to put their work hat back on. Their presence in the office is merely honorary, and they don’t even care if it slows the workflow.
3- The Weirdly Energised
via Cheat Sheet
This person is done with vacation and ready to take on the world, one work task at a time! They are prepared for your deadlines, meetings, and stress. The long vacation has helped them get back in the work mood with passion, and they are grateful they had that time off.
4- The Grump
via Netflix
No loud voices or arguments around this one, please, because you won’t like how they will react. They don’t want to be in the office after all the rest they had during Eid, and their current office grumpiness will inform you of such!
5- The Delegator
via Good Housekeeping
These people are smart enough to know there is no escaping work now, and the fun’s over. However, they are not yet ready to give up the chill-axing mindset. Therefore, they will work smart, not hard, and delegate as many tasks as possible to their subordinates or energised colleagues so they can linger in that sweet vacation mood a little longer!
