Texting is a modern-day phenomenon where everybody develops their own style within this world. Gone are the days when texting was just in case of emergency, or people used it as a quick shorthand message when they were late for something. Also, no one sends the custom robot-like texts via SMS to forward a quick note—in fact, barely anyone remembers those. These days, Egyptians take texting very seriously, especially with all the emojis and GIFs out there. So read on and figure out what type of texter you are.
1- The Emoji Enthusiast
Let’s all agree that emojis are fun but, seriously, overusing them can come off as really creepy. There is a gap between not using them at all and unnecessarily use. Here is a very Egyptian thing that we heard about: Apparently, people who do not use emojis at all are considered cold—and, yes, we think it’s absurd!

2- The “sorry, I thought I replied” Texter
The people who reply in their heads or write the text and forget to send it are everywhere! It is understandable, though, as life can really mess with your attention span, and not everyone is a multi-tasker. But, on a serious note, no one should get offended by these texters—they are the real victims here, so cut them some slack!

3- The Vocal Texter
Sending voice messages instead of texts is a wonderful thing that has its perks. For instance, it can be very useful if you want to pass on some information quickly or need to document something ASAP. However, we all have those friends who have foul mouths, and their voice notes should never be heard in public! How embarrassing is listening to these audio messages with your family around you?

4- The Grammar Police
We know that correcting people’s language is some people’s favourite hobby, but can’t we just be chill about it? If you are texting a friend, you want to feel comfortable expressing yourself, not worried about the typos and grammatical mistakes! Or, at least choose the proper timing to correct someone, not when they’re expressing their feelings.

5- The Paragraph Writer
The ‘too much information’ text is always a bummer and can get the receiver really anxious just by looking at it. Text messages can quickly become essays these days! And whether it is a break-up text or a hefty reply to an attempted dismissal, we seriously hope the long-winded texter should consider shortening their messages or cutting them into short texts.

6- The Grammar Dud
Unlike the grammar police, some people rely heavily on auto-correct, and we get it because life is too busy for us to double-check messages. On the other hand, isn’t it scary that the auto-correct might fail you, and you end up sending a bizarre text? Think about it, it can be really embarrassing, and Egyptians have no chill with humiliating situations!
