No matter where you work, whichever career path you take, or how many companies you’ve worked for, you will always find yourself meeting the same types of people. Sure, sometimes the people are a little different, but they’re similar enough to form a pattern. So, allow us to tell you about some of those work-related recurring characters in our lives.

1-     The Boss’s Pet (AKA El-‘Asfoura)

They are not your boss’s friends or relatives, but they tend to inform them of everything that occurs in the workplace. They are nearly everywhere and will tell your employer or manager about any problem or complaint; never the good things. They also have a tendency to suck up to anyone in a position of power.

2-     The Loud/Too Energetic One

This person’s morning energy can make you nervous! They rock up to work full of adrenaline. And it doesn’t end there—they can strike endless discussions, crack jokes, and are generally way too loud. Somehow, they will have already begun working on their tasks while you struggle to keep your eyes open in the morning.

3-     The Always-On-The-Phone One

Whether it’s work-related or personal, they are always on a call! Not only does this make the other employees uncomfortable, it also makes you wonder just when they find time to finish their tasks.

4-     The Observer

This type of employee doesn’t really socialise, yet they know everything that happens in the workplace. You think they’re not paying attention, but they’re watching everything that happens in the office like a hawk. So when you have a conversation with them about something that happened, you’re surprised that they already know all the details!

5-     The Perfectionist and The Slacker

These types are interesting because they kind of complement each other. For example, perfectionists care about every little detail in the task they are doing, even if it’s not prioritised. They take hard-working to another level with their zeal to do things flawlessly.

On the other hand, there are the slackers who make the minimum effort in their tasks, and they’re still exhausted! Most of us have seen these two opposites working under the same roof.
