In the good old days, when Ramadan arrived, there were only two Suhoor options: You either had Suhoor outside once in the holy month, or you had Suhoor at home like all ordinary people who didn’t want to spend too much money on foods that don’t usually cost much.

However, the Ramadan Nights concept has been increasing in popularity over the past couple of years, giving us all kinds of different Suhoor possibilities that we need to discuss with you right here. So, let’s get into it!

1- Hotel Suhoor

via Identity

Most hotels have their Suhoor menus ready for you to reserve a table and indulge in a fancy feast that will probably include all the usual Suhoor dishes we all love. Though this type of Suhoor is a little on the expensive side (and sometimes more costly than most people would like), it could be considered an experience (and meal) of a lifetime.

2- Cultural Places Offering Suhoor

No place is better to have a good traditional Suhoor like the ones we have in Old Cairo. Whether at El Moez or Khan El Khalili, Suhoor-ing in Old Cairo will make you feel the perfect Ramadan spirit that we all miss so much.

3- Suhoor at Home

What’s better than making your own food at home? We aren’t saying the food outside isn’t great, but making your own Suhoor while gathering with the family and having the ‘Mosalsal’ you’re watching on TV makes for the perfect, quintessential Ramadan Day.

4- Suhoor Trucks

One of many new concepts for Suhoor, these trucks are now a thing, with everyone flocking to them. These trucks are usually found at compounds or on the street, and while you don’t necessarily have to have fuul, ta’meya, and eggs for Suhoor, you can try any truck that serves a variety of other food.

5- Ramadan Tents

Tents in Ramadan aren’t really a new concept to us, but they’ve recently become an interesting way to enjoy Suhoor (as well as your Ramadan shows). As they’re all super fun, these tents provide experiences that are worth the change (and hundreds of pounds)!
