So yesterday i was looking at Samsung facebook page because they released this new HOT CAMERA, called the Samasung Galaxy Camera !  which basically a cross between a Camera & an Android os, the camera accept a data sim card making it always connected. And because it has Android on it, you can also have all those cool photo editing apps like instagram and more !!! so imagine using a high resolution camera, and editing to instagram and facebook while you are on the go !!!  it does basically everything other than be a phone ! check out more on http://www.samsung.com/in/promotions/galaxycamera/

but this isnt the headline of today ! the headline is samsung choose Egypt to open its first MEA Factory ! yesterday the MoU was signed where the factory in Beni Suef ! it will start operations in first half of 2013, as assembly. then towards the end of 2013 it shall start actually manufacturing here and become the HUB to the MEA region for export !!

  Cairo, Egypt, September 11, 2012 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd and Egypt’s Governor of Beni Suef, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to construct Samsung’s first-ever factory in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region in Beni Suef, Egypt. An affirmation of Samsung’s long-standing commitment to the MEA region, the new factory is expected to significantly expand the variety of Samsung’s innovative products available to consumers throughout the region. “As technology is constantly becoming an integral component of everyday life, we welcome the first Samsung factory in MEA,” said H.E. Dr. Hesham Kandil, the Prime Minister of Egypt. “As a market, we recognize that there are diverse business opportunities across a broad range of industry sectors which is why we always welcome and encourage foreign investment, such as Samsung’s.” The MoU was signed by Mr. Maher Bebars, the Governor of Beni Suef, and Mr. Kyungtae Bae, the President of Samsung Middle East and North Africa, at a signing ceremony, which was also attended by H.E. Dr. Hesham Kandil, the Prime Minister of Egypt, H.E. Mr. Osama Saleh, the Investment Minister of Egypt, H.E. Mr. Hatem Saleh, the Trade and Industry Minister of Egypt, Mr. Duke Park, General Manager of Samsung Egypt Branch office, and Mr. Kinam Lee, President of Samsung Electronics Egypt (SEEG). Within the next five years, the factory’s annual manufacturing output is expected to exceed two million units. The factory is expected to focus on manufacturing TV sets and monitors, as well as other cutting-edge devices. Products manufactured in Beni Suef will be distributed and made available across Egypt as well as in 10 other MEA markets by the end of 2016. “We are very proud to be opening our first factory in the Middle East and Africa region in Egypt,” said Mr. Bae. “Egypt is one of our most important markets in the region. As such, we have decided to collaborate with the Ministry of Investment to leverage the local and regional resources, which will further enhance the region’s technological growth.” Sprawling across 366,000 square metres of land, the factory will be located in the Kom Abu Radi Industrial Zone, Al Wasta City, Beni Suef, and is expected to be fully operational by 2013.
