In a show of solidarity with the victims of the Friday attacks in Paris and the passengers of the Russian airline that crashed in Sinai on October 31st, the Pyramids of Giza will be lit in the colours of the French, Russian & Egyptian flags, tonight (Sunday) at 9.30PM local time, according to Al Ahram.

The gesture follows on from other tributes from around the world that has seen some of the most recognisable buildings and monuments don the blue, white and red colours. In addition, the Russian and French flags will be raised around the Pyramids.

Friday's unprecedented attacks in Paris took the lives of 129 people, while the jury is still out on the cause of the Russian airliner crash, which saw all 224 Russians on board.
