Unfortunately, things are not sailing smoothly for some in the Olympics this year. Forced to withdraw, Yomna Ayyad, the Egyptian boxer, gained 700 grams, causing her to be disqualified for the 54 kg women's event. However, the President of the Boxing Federation, Abdulaziz Ghoneim, has clarified that this very slight, negligible weight gain happened overnight due to "physiological changes", which caused many people to consider the whole incident unfair to Ayyad.

3- Hana Goda's Loss

Often known as the Egyptian teenage prodigy, Goda received some backlash, with some commenting on how she's "no longer a prodigy". Fortunately, others defended her as she took to social media to apologise to her fans for losing, promising that she'd work on herself more and show a clear improvement later on.
