Our very own fierce fashion designer, Farida Temraz, has won the 'Best Female Couture Designer' award at New York Fashion Week, where she showcased her latest line, 'The Xecutive', on February 12th.

The award was presented to Temraz in recognition of her hard work, red carpet appearances and overall achievement in the four years since she started her high-end international couture brand.

"I am overwhelmed and full of tears in my eyes!," says Temraz. "It all started with a dream and big passion!  I want to thank every single person supported me and believed in me."

The runway collection also featured Egyptian jewelry brand, ZAGH. “The collection showcased is very much what ZAGH is about - a woman that is confident and proud, one that celebrates her femininity but is vicious when defined by it,” says Lead Designer of ZAGH Riham Zaghloul.

"We will bring Egypt back on the Fashion Map!," Temraz posted on social media after winning the award.
