Almah, The Egypt Clothing Bank, and Cocoon are getting together for one grand sustainable fashion event. The event aims to guide society to have a more positive impact on the environment by raising awareness on ways to recycle and upcycle, or restyle and redesign, clothes you have no use for anymore rather than throwing them out. In contrast, fast fashion has many cons that outweigh its perks, from consuming a hefty amount of resources and releasing pollutants. So, this event serves as a great alternative!

More About From Waste to Good Taste

The sustainable fashion event will be held on February 24th and 25th at Downtown Cairo’s The Factory. It will showcase an array of vintage and authentic designs and several upcycling workshops for fashion and furniture.

The event will also have the unique option for you to style your clothes in a styling room containing all kinds of pieces from sustainable fashion partners; you’ll get to mix and match several items from the many brands available!

You will additionally be granted the opportunity to paint clothes with the one and only Noran Elbannan, the event’s ambassador. There is no event, especially one all about fashion and styling, without photos to capture the moment. That is why you can have your fashion designer moment and strut your outfit in front of your friends on a catwalk.

Of course, the most exciting part of the event, aside from the food, is your contribution and donation to help the Egypt Clothing Bank. So, go ahead and fill out the form to reserve your spot, and invite your friends, too! Entry is free, but if you plan to attend a workshop, you’ll be expected to pay the workshop fee.
