It’s no secret that thrifting in Cairo is becoming more and more accessible these days, with more and more people buying clothes and other items from El Wekala or Roxy Square. And it makes sense because clothes are frankly becoming way too pricey without matching the price to the quality. When you thrift shop, though, you can get either secondhand or vintage clothing from classic and newer brands for reasonable prices.

But even thrift shopping can be a struggle as most people don’t really know how to spot the best bargains, especially when there are many of them.

If you’re one of the people who loves to thrift shop but need some assistance, we have online and offline alternatives around Cairo to help you out.

1- Thrifter In Pink

Thrifting in Egypt is made easy with the Thrifter in Pink! Not only does this page have reasonable prices as well as a lot of cute things, but it also shows you how to sell items that you want to pass on to a new owner. It’s a concept that tickles you pink (see what we did there?), isn’t it?

This online shop sometimes has a pop-up in Cairo and Alexandria, though it remains strictly online most of the time.

2- Thrift Dope

From the name alone, you can already tell that this shop will help you find the DOPEST pieces of clothes, whether vintage or not. Thrift Dope has a diversified range of items for all genders, including bags, shoes, belts, and much more. We’re not going to spoil the rest of the mystery—feel free to check it out for yourself!

3- Thrifters Keepers

An online store on Instagram, Thrift Keepers has various styles of clothes, with most of their pieces being very colourful and vintage-like. As per the slogan in its online bio (‘clothes are preloved; not unloved’), the shop doesn’t actually sell secondhand clothes. What are you waiting for? Start perusing the (virtual) racks now!

4- The Space

Located in Maadi, The Space offers different clothes for multiple styles. Although its prices may not be the cheapest, the shop’s quality is definitely worth the expense! As a vintage thrift store, it somehow still appeals to everyone’s style, so make sure you check it out.
