Not only do these women raise awareness about known issues as well as other issues that slip past our collective radars, but they also protect and aid women by providing them with the proper resources.

Sabah Khodeir
Becoming one of the most recognisable names in the Egyptian feminist sphere in 2020 when the Ahmed Bassam Zaki allegations went viral, Sabah Khodeir makes sure her voice, as well as the voices of all women, is heard, loud and clear. An especially hands-on activist, Khodeir focuses on several cases and continues to support and inspire Egyptian women everywhere.

Nihad Abo El Qomsan
A human rights lawyer and a women’s rights activist, Nihad Abo El Qomsan has made it her life’s mission to stand up for Egyptian women whichever way she can. Heading the Egyptian Centre for Women’s Rights, this lawyer leaves no case unclosed and thrives to make Egyptian women feel safe.

Malak Boghdady
A social media activist with a focus on women’s rights, Malak Boghdady tries to support and shed light on serious issues plaguing Egyptian society, specifically Egyptian women. She doesn’t shy away from discussing cases, no matter how hard or terrifying they can get. In fact, she often gets threats because of her staunch support for Egyptian women.

Merhan Keller
Other than being the founder of The Femaildiary, Merhan Keller also a feminist, an activist and a member of the African Women Rights Advocates. Dedicating herself to discussing issues plaguing Egyptian women, Merihan herself was harassed by an Egyptian footballer, but she didn’t back down about discussing that incident.
