If there’s one word that describes India vest, it’s colourful. The food, the music the culture are like no other and it's this spirit that Four Seasons Nile Plaza has channelled for their seven-day Indian food spectacular.

Having kicked off this Sunday, the luxury hotel has teamed up with Indian celebrity chef, Vikram Udaygiri, to transform the Pool Grill restaurant into some kind of Indian cuisine paradise. Indian Festival by the Nile, to give it its full name, is offering Cairenes to sample some of the most authentic Indian flavours - as well as some authentic Indian entertainment - to be found in Egypt’s capital with a lavish buffet – a buffet that is in very good hands.

As a former IFCA National Culinary Award-winner (he won the Smart Chef award for ‘displaying extraordinary professional competence and achieving outstanding accomplishments in the culinary field’), Udaygiri is no stranger to Egypt, having been drafted in by the Indian Embassy in Cairo in 2013 to give diners a taste of his extraordinary food. He’s garnered a reputation for being somewhat of a globetrotter and entrepreneur over the years,  too, having taken his culinary skills to over 25 countries, including France and the US as part of a push to promote Indian cuisine across the world – a duty that he continues to take on with aplomb. His career is made all the more remarkable by the fact that he has been a chef for only nine years.
