Gracias has recently launched the Bring Your Own Chips (BYOC) and made it available at their New Cairo branch. Gracias' gift came from adapting the Bring Your Own Chips (BYOC) concept from Flavor Hive in the US to make food such as nachos. Gracias gave us a new creative culinary experience of tasting and enjoying Latin delights.
What's BYOC?
BYOC is a widely used term in the West that's built around the concept of Bringing Your Own. Whether it's carriers, computers, containers, chips, cookies, etc. Each of these applies for a specific reason in different circumstances. For instance, Bring Your Own Container is mainly used in retail shops and supermarkets to decrease the use of plastic bags while shopping and create a better environment. It's also used in coffee shops to mean Bring Your Own Cup, so you can drink from it and use fewer plastic cups, ultimately serving the same environmental purpose.
What's BYOC in the Food Industry?
The genius Flavor Hive has adapted the idea in their food truck in the US and made it into a creative meal concept of Bring Your Own Chips. They changed the idea to mean that you could buy your bag of chips from anywhere you like, bring it to their truck to choose and fill it with 12 ounces of Halal meat, chicken, and other ingredients. This food trend is expanding rapidly and has been met with tons of approval and satisfaction from customers.
Gracias Applying BYOC in Latin Food
Launched last Friday, Gracias has been serving awesome nachos, adding all Latin toppings such as chicken, meat, salsa, beans, or cheese, all on your bag of chips and with your preferences. Bringing BYOC to Egypt has been an awaited moment for Egyptian street food enthusiasts. So far, the idea has sparked tons of good reviews and positive feedback from customers.
