As autumn settles in, Cairo, the New Administrative Capital, and Alexandria will come alive with the She Arts Festival 2025, running from October 2nd to 5th. Known as the region’s leading platform dedicated to women in the arts, the festival returns with an expanded programme of concerts, films, exhibitions, and workshops, bringing together artists from Egypt and across the world.

A Festival Dedicated to Women’s Creativity

The She Arts Festival has carved its place as a pioneering cultural event in the Middle East. Each year, it celebrates women’s artistic achievements across multiple disciplines, from film and theatre to music and visual arts. The 2025 edition presents an exciting mix of established icons and emerging talents, all sharing the same stage.

Spotlight on the Ziad Rahbani Homage

One of this year’s standout moments will be the tribute to Lebanese composer Ziad Rahbani on October 3rd in AUC Tahrir. His revolutionary music and powerful lyrics will be revisited by performers such as Layla Nehme and Noha Fekry, alongside other Egyptian and Lebanese artists. The evening promises to revive Rahbani’s legacy while introducing his work to new audiences.

Highlights Across the Four Days

The festival’s opening night features stars such as Hiba Tawaji and the Spanish group Maruja Limón at the ACUD Concert Hall. Day two continues with international acts including Japan’s Sakura Fujiwara, Spain’s Lela Soto, and Egypt’s Nagham Saleh, leading into the Rahbani tribute. Later performances feature talents including The Ayoub Sisters, with screenings, masterclasses, and exhibitions taking place across AUC Tahrir Square, Falaki Mainstage Theatre, and other cultural venues.

Purpose and Vision

Beyond its concerts, She Arts strives to amplify women’s voices in artistic spaces often dominated by men. This year’s programme blends heritage with modern experimentation, encouraging collaborations across cultures and generations. By expanding to multiple cities, it also broadens its reach to a wider audience.
