The world’s largest folk festival is annually held in Munich, Germany. Oktoberfest is nothing short of a spectacular time for all age groups. It involves a travelling carnival, a beer-drinking fest, folk music performances, and lots of dancing!

It usually runs from mid-to-late September to the first Sunday of October. The historic festival took place for the first time as a royal wedding celebratory party in Munich on October 12th, 1810, when Kronprinz Ludwig (later King Ludwig I of Bavaria) married Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen.
