After a very hectic first week of Ramadan, you might want to spend the weekend at home. However, we needn’t remind you that even in Ramadan, you can still have a pint of 3er2 soos, tamr hendy, sobya, or a2mr el deen, and eat bala7; all while listening to the best music. With the weekend being finally here, the fun is about to begin! Here’s what’s on at Ramadan tents this weekend, you dare not miss anything.
Starting off with Thursday, you can enjoy a delicious Sohour at Eat & Barrel’s tent Hakawy El Nile over a great performance by Boussy. Another Sha3by kind of sohour is waiting for you at Rivulet’s El Hara with Mahmoud El Leithy, and his always highly energetic performances.
The Tap decided that they will never miss out on Ramadan, so their famous El Hanafya is back! El Hanfya is still going on at The Tap East as Hossam Hossny and Salalem will be on duty. But The Tap West’s El Hanfya will be found in Galleria 40’s 3altawla tent and will be welcoming the super star Hisham Abbas for a nostalgic night of Shoooofy taratata... *dancing in the background* What can be more perfect that this?
If you want sohor with a stunning view and an even more lavish and mesmerising ambience, then head to Uptown Cairo’s Lanterns tent. They will be bringing the incredible voice of Mohamed Adawya to the table, along with some tasty food.
If you missed Thursday for a family gathering, or some lame hold-up over at work, then have the best of Friday at either Lanterns with your absolute favourite gig, Egyptian Project; or go to El Hanafya at The Tap East with Egypt’s most loved band, Wust El Balad.
If you’re heart broken, or a bit more in love and want to listen to some songs you’re used to, then El Hara is here for you! They are bringing Ramy Sabry to serve you the best of the best. 3altawla decided to double the entertainment dose for you by bringing two of your most preferred sha3bys in the field, Boussy, and the guy with astoundingly deep vocals, Ahmed Adawya. And, El Leithy will also take over the stage, the entertainment, the people, and everything in Hakawy El Nile. Bab Al Qasr at Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski will get festive this day, with a much awaited performance by Mahmoud EL Esseily.
Finally, the day everyone has been waiting for, Saturday. If you don’t know why, you’re not a football lover and might not even be Egyptian. The Champions League finale between Liverpool and Real Madrid is happening, or we might as well say the face-off between Mo Salah and Christiano Ronaldo is finally here! Who will you cheer for, a hard decision right? To make it easy for you, and more enjoyable, you can head to either one of these four tents, Hakawy El Nile, Si Omar, 3altawla, or El Hanfya West / East, and enjoy the match. If you are not into any of that - which we found very hard to believe - Bab Al Qasr will be having a tribute night for Om Kalthoum!
