CIAD’s Collaboration with Korea

Celebrating 30 years of the diplomatic relationship between Egypt and Korea, this year CIAD focuses on Korea. Representing South Korea, Mr Byung-Chon Choi, Minister and Consul General, expressed his gratitude for the cultural collaboration, saying: “It’s an honour for Korea to take part as the guest nation at CIAD for the first time, a festival that fills Downtown Cairo with creative energy every autumn.

This opportunity is even more meaningful as it coincides with the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Korea. We sincerely appreciate the admiration Egyptians have shown for our culture, from music and food to language, and it’s terrific to see that same passion now extended to Korean art.”
