The Ancient Egyptian themed video for Katy Perry's recent single, Dark Horse, has caused quite a stir amongst Muslims, it has been reported. An online petition has emerged condemning Perry and the video for what the man who started it all - UK-based, Shazad Iqbal - proclaims to be a 'portrayal of blasphemy.'

The blasphemy in question appears 1:15 minutes in, when Perry zaps a man wearing an 'Allah' pendant, who then proceeds to turn into a rubble of sand. Is Mr Iqbal making a mountain out of a molehill? Yes. But I'm seriously considering adding my name to the other 56,000 if it helps the song disappear altogether.
