Palestinian Joy: Representation Beyond The Struggle
Featuring celebrated Palestinian voices Shadi Borini, 47Soul, and Qasem Al Najjar, Daloona offers a window into the joys of Palestinian life. “Palestinian culture is nuanced and has depth,” Saint Levant shares regarding the single. “Right now, we’re suffering immensely. And because of this, to the public and unknowing eyes, the world sees a dark, sad, and partial reality. Just like everybody else in the world, we have moments of joy. People are still getting married. People like the SOL Band in Gaza are keeping this joy alive. I just want to show that we Palestinians can have joy, that this community exists, and that there is pride in this identity.”
