Shahid’s Mawdou Aeli has won viewers’ hearts everywhere with its stellar ensemble cast and two fantastic seasons. In this show, Ibrahim learns he has a daughter named Sarah and takes temporary custody of her for six months. A lot happens to their family during that time, and we still haven’t got over the second season that premiered in December. As we wait for season three, let’s envision how this brilliant social comedy would translate if played by Hollywood actors!

1-     Ibrahim (Kevin James)

via Wikipedia & Hollywood Reporter

Single parent Ibrahim meets his daughter again after being apart for 20 years. The two face several obstacles together with their family members, but Ibrahim pretends to be her lawyer since he can’t bring himself to tell her the truth that he is her father. Maged El Kedwany gives life to all his characters and is a big reason we care so much about Ibrahim. Still, we think Kevin James would pull off Ibrahim in our modified version!

2-     Sara (Joey King)

via Facebook & People

Ibrahim’s daughter went through most of her childhood believing that her father abandoned her and did not know who he was. Things change when she meets Ibrahim’s nephew, Hassan, and the two soon become engaged and married. The up-and-coming Rana Raies plays the lively Sara, and we can almost picture Joey King in the role, too.

3-     Hassan (Pete Davidson)

via Facebook & Biography

Hassan is the child of Zainab and Ramadan and a fantastic young man. He marries Sara, who accepts his dysfunctional family without complaint. We would love to see Hollywood comic Pete Davidson do a portrayal of Hassan, as played so brilliantly by Taha Desouky!

4-     Zainab (Melissa McCarthy)

via Facebook & Entertainment Tonight

Zainab is the textbook image of the term “crying a river”. She is Ibrahim’s sensitive sister, often quick to tears no matter the circumstance. We think Melissa McCarthy could do just as good a job as Samaa Ibrahim does as Zainab.

5-     Ramadan (Nick Offerman)

via Masrawy & Pop Sugar

The hilarious Ramadan Hare2a is one of the show’s most out-there characters. He says the most inexplicable things but is devoted to his loved ones. In the role made famous by Mohamed Radwan, we consider casting Nick Offerman as the American equivalent of Ramadan Hare2a!
