Egyptians travel all around the world, whether to find new job opportunities or study, as everyone thinks going abroad is better than staying here. Even vacations are spent overseas as we take every chance to travel out of the country by the horns.

Even though we usually travel to escape Egypt, this Twitter user went to Italy and ran into another Egyptian the minute he got off his train! The other Egyptian he met started reciting a famous line usually used when begging: “ana mesh shahat”. From experience, you probably already know that this happens a lot in it Egypt as you’ll find people begging everywhere.

Naturally, people made fun of the whole thing, with many making jokes and asking the Twitter user in question if he gave the guy the money or not, since he was asking for 15 euros. Like us, though, the guy knew how much that is in Egyptian money, so he replied that he isn’t Ahmed Abo Hashima—makes sense, right?

Some people even made jokes about telling the mafia so they can “deal” with the random begger, which is a tad too dark for us to handle, although, admittedly, it did make us laugh. Speaking of the mafia, one Twitter user even went on to say that they could imagine the original tweet being said by the infamous Abo El Araby character’s voice when he was dealing with the mafia in a scene.
