Praise be to Egyptian national holidays, for they be merciful and forgiving in the face of our dull and diluted lives. Yeah, we're pretty psyched to be back by a beach! There's no lack of events across Egypt's sea-adjacent towns, but DJ What's-His-Name playing at a bar that looks like a crack den won't cut it for what could be the last chance to soak in some rays. There are, however, a select few parties that will satisfy your boozie beachside needs.
THE EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE @ MOOODS, GOUNA
(Saturday)The latest party to be announced comes courtesy of Nineteen 84 Management who are going all out this Eid. Back again at Moods for a special invite-only party, the party-hungry team are set to host Danish duo, Borneland, Greek DJ, Anjelo, and the seductive booty-shakers of dance troupe, Sugarbabes.
EXTRAORDINARY GENERATION @ CLUB 88, EL GOUNA
(Saturday)Tamer Banna's Beyond Entertainment have somehow convinced non-rapping hip-hop guy, Fatman Scoop, to come to Egypt for his latest Gouna event, Extraordinary Generation. Set to be held at Club 88, the party's line-up also includes too-cool-for-school DJ, Ramy, as well as the theatrical performers of Italian troupe, Circo Nero, who have been a hit at Banna's previous parties.

STUDENT DJ 2014: KEEP MOVING @ MANGROOVY BEACH, EL GOUNA
(Saturday)Electrum Records' annual Student DJ program is upon us and things kick off in style with a huge line-up that includes Dutchman, Karmon, and Cairo's own Minus T and Aguizi & Fahim at launch event, Keep Moving. The party will mark what insiders are suggesting is set to be the best edition of the competition yet.
__________
THE TERRACE PARTY @ TABLA, SOKHNA
(Saturday)With Tabla's Sahel venue having made a mark on boozie nightcrawlers this summer, big things are expected of the original Sokhna venue's first big event of the season. The line-up for the Terrace Party is Tabla's the usual mishmash of randomness, with violinist, Hanine, belly-dancers from Samakmak and a surprise from London awaiting you.
__________
COLORSCOPE WEEKEND @ SAHL HASHEESH
(Saturday & Sunday)
Event Republic are an unpredictable, gnarly bunch; last week, the name of their perennial two-day party at Sahl Hasheesh was changed to Colorscope Weekend under mysterious circumstances. But the change came with good news - each table will come with a complimentary bottle of your poison of choice. Day one will see Greek duo, Heavy Pins, take to the DJ booth, as well as SHawky. If you make it to the second day, Turkish DJ, Ahmet Kilic, headlines with Gawdat opening.

ALL BLACK EVERYTHING @ MOODS, EL GOUNA
(Sunday)
After taking a well-deserved break last Eid, Nineteen 84 are back with an event that is every bit as dark and handsome as the man we're all so desperate to have a holiday fling with. Metaphors - they're the best. Anyhow, All Black Everything will see Maya, DJ Moneim and DJ Islam ignite a lusty evening of hip-hop at beach-side bar, Moods.

AMICI: SEASIDE @ STELLA DI MARE, SOKHNA
(Sunday)
Unlike so many event organisers and nightlife players, Rawy Rizk likes to keep a low profile and lets his bars and parties speak for themselves. The man behind Amici 'gets' nightlife and is taking the Amici experience to Stella Di Mare in Sokhna for a night headed by DJ Lyon Avakian, who we haven't been able to see (and hear) much of while Tamarai has been closed. In addition, there's a surprise act, too. I hate surprises. JUST TELL ME.
