If you have not yet made your way to the Giza Plateau for Forever Is Now 2025, you are missing a rare moment where contemporary art and ancient history collide in full force. Running from 11 November to 6 December 2025 at the Pyramids of Giza, the latest edition of Art D’Égypte has already unveiled some of the most ambitious installations the platform has ever presented.

Yet the experience is far from over, and the weeks ahead still offer visitors the chance to witness a living dialogue between modern creativity and one of the world’s oldest architectural landscapes.

A Desert Stage Transformed

This year’s edition has already introduced striking works from Egyptian and international artists, each responding uniquely to the monumental atmosphere of the desert. Visitors have walked among towering sculptural forms, reflective surfaces catching the early morning sun, and experimental structures that reframe the geometry of the Pyramids.

These installations shift throughout the day, creating different moods at sunrise, noon, and dusk. Those who have gone early have experienced the desert in near silence; those who arrived at sunset have seen the artworks glow against the changing light.

From the first week, visitors shared images and reviews describing the installations as “otherworldly”, “surprisingly emotional”, and “impossible to capture on camera”. The encounter between contemporary design and 4,500-year-old stone structures creates a quietly powerful tension. It makes you reconsider scale, time, and permanence in a way no ordinary gallery can.

The Cultural Momentum You Can Still Be Part Of

What has already taken place this edition is only the beginning. Artists continue to host walkthroughs, curators are holding on-site public talks, and the installations remain accessible throughout the exhibition. The works will stay in place until the final day, meaning that even latecomers will experience the event exactly as it was intended, immersive, physical, and in direct conversation with the desert.

CIAD: Beyond the Giza Plateau

Alongside the main Art D'Égypte exhibition, a parallel programme unfolds across the city every year, the Cairo International Art District. CIAD 5 was just underway, activating Downtown Cairo. Also, additional decorative arts showcases are opening at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir. For anyone who wants to explore Cairo’s art scene beyond the Pyramids, the city’s cultural calendar is currently in full motion.

Tickets, Entry and How to Visit

Entry to “Forever Is Now” is included with the standard Giza Plateau ticket. For a smoother visit, timed guided tours are available through Art D’Égypte’s official channels. These tours operate with direct transport to the installations and start at EGP 120 for Egyptians and USD 5 for foreigners, making the experience accessible to all visitors.

The site is open throughout the day, but early morning and late afternoon offer the most atmospheric lighting for the artworks. Weekdays are quieter, allowing more time to walk among the installations at your own pace.

Why You Should Make Time Before It Ends

Some exhibitions entertain, while others shift your sense of place. Forever Is Now belongs to the latter category. The combination of contemporary art, monumental history and the open desert creates a space where the conversation between past and present becomes visible, tangible, and unexpectedly moving.

If you have been watching from afar or waiting for the right moment, this is it. The installations are alive in the landscape now, and in a few weeks, they will disappear. To witness them in person is to experience Egypt’s heritage and contemporary creativity in the same breath, a rare opportunity worth taking before the sands shift and the artworks are gone.
