Mohamed Salam has been absent from the media scene for some time. Everyone missed his effortless comedy and easy-going presence on camera. He has finally made his comeback. This time, in a role slightly different from what we're used to from him, but keeping it with a performance as delightful as ever.

Sprinkling Humour on a Tough Reality

Kartha Tabe'aya tells the story of a young married couple. They are both hard-working individuals who are struggling under the economic reality of their lives. Despite that, the main character, Mohamed Shaaban, played by Mohamed Salam, is pursuing his dreams by writing film scripts and seeking producers to pick them up.

The financial and stressful situation intensifies when they discover that Shrouq, played by Gehad Hossam El Din, is not only pregnant but also carrying quintuplets. All of this is conveyed through situational comedy and the cast's excellent performances.

Perfect Cast for a Social Comedy

Every member of the cast is precisely right for their role. In his first starring role in a series, Salam brings his unique comedy, with a splash of seriousness, as the show's theme demands. He masters that blend seamlessly. Gehad Hossam El Din matches this quality perfectly, making the pairing a perfect fit and enhancing both their performances.

Hamza El Eily took the hilarity of the show to a whole new level with his role as Shawky. As Mohamed's trusted friend, he gives him some questionable advice. The comedy he portrays is a little darker, making him the needed contrast to Mohamed's character.

The Best Is Yet to Come

Even with only four episodes out so far, everyone who has watched it is on the edge of their seats, eager to find out what happens next. It's also worth mentioning that the show is sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Population, in light of its recent efforts to organise population growth and raise awareness on the subject. Two episodes stream every Wednesday on Watch It, and the finale is expected to stream on the 26th of November.
