As a suspenseful result of a highly anticipated competition, the Kato brand was announced as the winner of the Youth Brand of the Year Award for 2024 by Youth Summit and Bazarna and was powered by Madinet Masr. The award was announced right after the jury panel heard the pitches. The aspiring competitors were the hardworking youth of Egyptian brands like Organdy, Juvenile, Stolch, Decked Out, and Kato. Kato, pitched by its owner, Halla Emara, won the award valued at 500k EGP to assist the brand in growing to its potential.
The Unfiltered Dialogue of Actor on Director
With no script or moderators, Jamila Awad and Haya Khairat sat and gave us an insightful heart-to-heart conversation. In the panel session, Awad and Khairat inspired the young attendees by delving into their artistic journeys, processes, and experiences in the industry and offering genuine insight and inspiration to future generations.

They discussed how impact aligns with Gen Z’s values and how they drive social change to redefine responsibility and shape their futures.
The Raw Secrets of Building Your Own Company
Karima El-Hakim, Amr Awadallah, Tarek Fahim, and Abdelhameed Sharara unravelled the unfiltered secrets of building a company from scratch. They discussed the raw challenges and risks that come along the way while sharing with us the required mindset and attitude to make it big. The talk offered genuine perspective and advice to our youth’s upcoming and aspiring entrepreneurial minds.

Dara Ghosheh, Clara Dayoun, and Karim Abdelrahman highlighted how Gen Z is revolutionising the food and beverage industry through their creative craft and innovation in bringing unique new flavours to the market and how they’re creating a long-lasting effect on the food culture in Egypt.
Learning the True Power of Play from Dibo
Through his informative masterclass, Dibo explained the importance of a playful, curious attitude in our lives, especially in the creative process. He expanded on how beginning with the smallest exploratory steps can lead to forming the most significant inventions. A playful attitude positively transforms how we learn, work, and grow, as all the actions of creativity and invention can ultimately build a profound design process that creates something new and extraordinary.
