If by some miracle you still haven’t heard about Andrew Tate, all you need to know is that Tate is a multimillionaire, ex-kickboxer, and, as of a few months ago, a full-time misogynist on social media. So why would he become something like that third thing? Well, that’s easy. He has enough money and power to do so. But the really disturbing thing is that Andrew Tate also has a lot of people following his advice.
Fortunately, a gaming YouTuber by the name of Daz Black decided to talk about Andrew Tate, and because of that video, Tate was finally banned from TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
So, what did Andrew Tate preach, and why should we care that he was banned from most social media? Well, read on, and you’ll find out.
What Exactly Does Andrew Tate Preach?
Anyone who has had the misfortune of seeing Tate’s videos knows that the only thing he preaches is hatred. Quite literally. In most of his videos and podcast appearances, Andrew Tate talks about women in the most negative and hateful ways imaginable. Some of his opinions are that women shouldn’t drive and should never leave their homes, as they’re ‘property’ of men.
And somehow, it gets worse. Tate also discussed rape victims, saying that it’s their fault and that they should bear the responsibility for what happened to them as if they weren’t assaulted. If that wasn’t enough, this ex-social media person also advocated for violence against women, with videos of him abusing an ex-girlfriend soon resurfacing.
The scariest thing about Andrew Tate was that he continuously preached to young boys and men, even offering courses on how to be ‘real men’. Naturally, this mindset having that far of a reach terrified millions of people around the world.
To obliterate Andrew Tate and his online crowd, popular YouTuber Daz Black posted a 54-minute-long video discussing Tate and his horrifying sexist and misogynistic views. Black even contacted survivors of Tate’s abuse, giving them a platform to share their stories.
Right after this video, Andrew Tate’s social media accounts were deleted, and he was banned from several online platforms.

So, why should Egyptians care about the aftermath of Andrew Tate’s actions?
It would be ridiculous to pretend that Andrew Tate’s misogynistic remarks are new when almost every Egyptian woman has heard similar and worse comments from passersby, colleagues, and family members. Although some men are making an effort to be better, viewpoints like Tate’s being popular work against this progress, especially when we remember that Tate’s target audience was teenage boys.
We won’t stand for this kind of misogyny. Similar sentiments like Andrew Tate’s shouldn’t be present in our lives or on our social media, which is why the hundreds of Egyptian ‘Andrew Tates’ should get similar treatment and be swiftly banned from online spaces too. Especially when many of them openly preach hate and violence.
In light of several current events and murders of many young Egyptian women, we don’t think we really need to say this. However, we wanted to because it’s high time we all stopped being silent.
