Gas stations are ALL OVER the place now, and everywhere we go, there’s one close by.
You know what, though? Sometimes, having this many around is a blessing. For one thing, they’re perfect hangout spots. And, no, you can’t possibly tell us that you don’t go hang out at gas stations when you can’t find anywhere else to go with your friends.
Since gas stations have everything, what more can we possibly need? However, we do think there are more reasons why they’re the ideal and convenient hangout spot nowadays. For more reasons, read on.
1- Budget-friendly
Let’s face it. A gas station is the most budget-friendly option you can find, whether you have a little bit of money or no money at all. It’s a place where you can chill without having a waiter coming to you every couple of minutes to ask you for the order that you’ll (probably) pay a couple of hundred pounds for.
2- Everything is close by
Not to repeat ourselves, but we just have to stress this factor. You have everything in gas stations! If you’re hungry, then there’s probably a pizza place or a burger place, or any fast food shop nearby. And, if you’re thirsty, you’ll find dozens of coffeehouses all around you. Even if you just want a little snack (and a couple of air fresheners, who knows?), then the station shop will have you covered. There are bathrooms there too!
3- No restriction on the number of people
Don’t you sometimes struggle with finding the perfect place that could take large groups of friends but can’t find anywhere because your group is just too big? The gas station doesn’t have that problem at all. You’ll never not have enough room because you’ll be there in your cars, so you’ll comfortably stay there and play some music. Gas stations do not discriminate when it comes to crowds!
4- Drive-thrus
If you’re feeling a little socially anxious or find the weather too cold and you don’t want to get out of your warm, cosy car, or the place itself too crowded, this is the perfect option. You can also get whatever you please from the drive-thru!
5- No closing time
Sometimes, your day out with your friends is just so fun that you don’t want it to end. Restaurants and cafés (and any place, really) have closing times, but gas stations do not. So whether it’s 1 PM or 1 AM, a gas station’s metaphorical doors stay open, and since it rarely, if ever, closes for the day, it’s the more fun hangout option.
